Kalahari

Endless rows of dunes of red sands are the characteristics of the Kalahari. Beautiful savannahs with huge acacia trees, spectacular sunsets, stunning weather. Genuine hunting grounds of the bushman with bow and arrow in the early 1900's as it was the area in eastern namibia where game was most concentrated because of a natural fountain that still is the main water source for the game in this area. The wide open country displays big herds of game of many species. Here, the Oryx, decor of the coat of arms of Namibia, roams in big groups and grows its best trophy specimen. Here is also the homebase of African Plains Safaris. On our farm with 81,000 acres of exclusive hunting ground, your accommodation is set in a safe and relaxed African farm style lodging, with a picturesque lapa (thatch roof area) sporting a bar, braai (barbeque) and fireplace where we will entertain you. At the accommodation venue a well-trained team of dedicated people will ensure that you will have a genuine and wonderful African experience.
